The end of the Dragon

2024 is over. Time to turn the page, close the door and finish the projects.
It was an amazing year, much like every other year for the past 50. I rarely think that I have a bad year, bad luck or a bad time. I always remember the most positive aspects of life and I forget everything else. I have been living like that since I can remember. Maybe I am a bit selfish because I put my own feelings above others. Well, this year we started a new business and hopefully it will start earning money in March. Actually, I started a few businesses in the past 18 months, but the others make less than 20,000 yen per month, so I forget that I have them. One is raising chickens and they produce a few eggs per day depending on the season. I decided to hatch more chicks in spring 2025 since last year about 18 hatched successfully! They're not yet a year old, so they will lay eggs for years to come. The biggest problem is my new dog named "Pepper". She loves to chase, bite and eat chickens! She's full of spice and a bit naughty ：）Bell is aging gracefully. He is well mannered and loving. Just like me :)
Some of the other major changes here include becoming more sustainable. We are producing our own fruit, vegetables, meat, electricity and next year we're going to have a bigger water tank for household purposes, like the toilet and the washing machine. Why do we have to use expensive water for things like that? We can limit our impact on the environment in different ways. Please choose one for yourself. We all have a responsibility to let nature continue as a force in its own regard. I enjoy building a better relationship with Earth. It takes time and no one is perfect. We do what we can and we all do it differently. Everyone has their own things to do and we are all on a different timeline. Enjoy your journey. There's only one chance at Life as we understand it. I am happy to be riding this rocket ship and I want to keep going just like usual.
